James R. Clark Sickle Cell Foundation

The Task: To create a website and a website strategy using Wordpress for an existing organization. Identify specific channels to reach your target audience and create blog and social media posts to use on those platforms.

While the website was the largest portion of the assignment, we also we decided to revamp the existing Facebook page and create an Instagram page. We decided this foundation needed reach a larger audience and expand the demographic to include younger generations.

Expanding on these social media channels, we planned to launch new media initiatives, including newsletters, to keep our audiences informed about upcoming volunteer events and to raise general awareness of Sickle Cell Disease. To boost engagement across all platforms, we also aim to introduce staff-led story takeovers, customizable templates for individuals to share their support and raise awareness, and monthly shoutouts recognizing our star volunteers!
